Almunecar Spain

Once the heart of the semitropical coastal gardens of the Moorish Kingdom of Granada. Almunecar's main resort area is level with the promenade being designed for wheelchair's, part of the beach has been hardened for wheelchair's the main town is set off the sea front, please note some of the side roads to the old town are sloping, you will find old Spanish shops, an old lovely church, there is a local market each week, this area called the Costa Tropical is an area protected by the surrounding mountains, so average temperature is between 18c to 30c. This is truly a unique area of Spain

Turismo Tropical is a 144 bed apartment-hotel complex comprising of 52 one bedroom apartments sleeping 2-4 people and 10 two bedroom apartments sleeping 4-6 people. It has extensive gardens, open spaces and squares, making it the ideal spot both for children's play and for adults' rest and enjoyment.This aparthotel is right on the promenade with the beach just across the road, the walk way from the Hotel to the promenade is level, at each side of the Hotel you will find a number of Spanish bars, restaurants & shops, Turismo Tropical has ten adapted apartments and is designed in whitewashed stone with a wide walk way leading from your ground floor mini villa, each adapted villa has wide entrance doors to the hallway leading onto the spacious lounge which is fully fitted out with a sofa bed that sleeps 2 people, table and chairs, a range of units, telephone & satelite T.V. from the hallway you have a fully fitted kitchen, leading again from the hallway you have fully adapted bathroom with wheel-in shower, pull down bars by the w.c with side transfer and fitted wash basin, you then move onto your twin bedroom where you will find two single beds that can be put together as a double, high legs on the bed allow for a hoist to go under the bed.

Leading from your mini villa you have a level walkway lined with flowers and whitewashed walls this leads to the outdoor swimming pool with a pool hoist & sun deck, the pool area leads to the main building, puplic areas include a satelite TV lounge, cafeteria, bar-restaurant, minigolf, 24 hour reception, public adapted toilets, lift to first floor & the Disco/Bar. The Hotel offers S/C *H/B * F/B.

The surrounding area is level with ramps leading into the front of this 4 star hotel. The hotel has 7 accessible lifts and all main areas of the hotel offers easy access to the public areas, TV rooms, hairdresser's, barbecue-Terrace, Restaurants "A la Carte", Buffet bar, English bar, a lovely sized swimming pool & large over size sun deck, please note there is no pool hoist. each of its 8 adapted bedrooms offer Twin or Double beds with 80cm door ways, fully adapted bathroom with wheel-in shower, handrails by W.C and easy transfer to W.C. the bedrooms also offer balcony's with a door way size of 124cm.
