Welcome to
Orlando, Florida - It goes without saying that this is the capital
of holidays for people visiting the USA. For a number of years the area has
increased and increased and you now have 4 main theme parks being Disney
World, Sea World, Universal Studio's and Epcot center. Along side
these are sub- theme parks. You will not just need a week a
fortnight not even a month would be long enough to visit everything
you can find in Orlando. There are two main airports that opporate in Orlando one
in Stanford, which is based some 60 miles outside of Orlando which
is where most of the charted airflights fly into or you have
Orlando International which covers most of the main airlines such
as BA and Virgin. We can opporate from either of these airports from
your own local airport.
Arrival at your airport
Once you have
cleared customs and immigration we will then have arranged whatever
type of
transport you require. This can range quite simply from, car hire
which includes full collision damage waver and local taxes,
specially adapted self drive mini vans which can be driven by a the
person in a wheelchair or the person in a wheelchair can be locked down
in their own wheelchair, for those people who are unable to drive,
or do not wish to drive we will have an adapted mini bus with driver
waiting for you as you come out of the airport, they will then
transfer you to your accomodation and also transport you to your
attractions each day. You will be given their telephone number, you only
need to call and they will be with you within the
hour to take
you anywhere you wish to go.

Accomodation
We have so many
hotels in Orlando that can offer you adapted accommodation
it would
be difficult to show you them all. Basically, they range from
economy hotels with roll-in showers such as the Days Inn at Lake Buena
Vista through to suites or mini suites in the Embassy Suites we can offer
these in downtown Orlando, kissimmee or the area of Disney
World. All of these offer wheelchair friendly showers and
adapted
rooms. It must be noted that most hotels in America are based on 4
sharing and you will normally find 2 double beds or large king size bed
in the room.

Bungalows and Villas
Or for those
who wish to be more independent we can offer villas or full size
bungalows.
The types of
bungalows that we can offare are about 40 minutes away from the
main attraction area such as Orchard Lake Village or Bridge Water
Crossings and these bungalows can sleep between 4 to 8 people, are
wheelchair friendly and of course are designed with over large
rooms and are fully equipped with every facility you may
require, most
of them have a swimming pool and a number of them have hoist into
the pool. You will find 1 or 2 bathrooms that have been designed
for wheelchairs and offer complete wheelchair wheel-in facilities. Added
to this we can hire any piece of medical equipment you may need
such as hoists, electric wheelchairs etc.

SWISS GOLF AND

people who are not totally wheelchair bound and do not want to stay
right in
the heart of Orlando. We can offer accommodation based on a local
golf course called Swiss Golf and Country Club and is approximately 40
minutes from Disney. We have a factory built house which has 2
bedrooms, 2 bath rooms and lounge. The facilities available to
you are a 32 hole golf course, 2 large swimming pools, club
house and a man
made beach all set on the site of Lake Henry, it is a most
beautiful alternative, yet you are still only 40 minutes from the
main resort areas.

SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS
Lastly, more
and more people are wishing to have the opportunity to swim with
the dolphins. This we are able to offer locked into any part of
your holiday. It is based at Discovery Cove (part of Sea World) and
is a most exciting day. When you check-in you will be given a time when
you will be swimming with the dolphins, you will be able to pick
up a specially adapted beach wheelchair, wet suits and life
jacket (if
required). You are then free to sit and sun bath on the beaches or
go swimming in a number of lagoon areas they have, or just float
round the lazy river or you may wish to swim with a number of different
types of fish. The day also includes a full buffet lunch where
you can eat as much as you like. Your swim with the dolphins takes
approximately three quarters of an hour, a small party of you will
go through a talk with your trainer, you will then be taken to the
dolphin area to swim with dolphins. A trained supervisor will help
those who require assistance into the water and you will be lined
up and
advised how to interact with the dolphins with different commands,
and given a small talk on dolphin behavour, you will be able to
touch them - an experience you will never forget, you will then be
given an opportunity to purchase photos of you with the
dolphin you have just swam with at Discovery Cove. We can also arrange a
number of other attraction to link into your holiday from Arabian
Nights, Wild West Nights, Dolly Partons Country and Western evening which
is definately one not to be missed.
